Quick and easy, this A-line vest dress adds some sass to your class. The Scuba fabric with it's heavy-weight knit weft (95% polyester, 5% elastane) gently drapes over your curves yet still has plenty of room for movement. The 60s inspired cut with accent binding gives it a modern sensibility, day into night. It's meant to be a statement piece but, when you put it on, you'll definitely be the punctuation. Add this dress to your wardrobe and you'll never have to worry about what to wear for those days when you want to feel casual while knowing you're really FANCY.
ABOUT THE PAINTING:
DAYDREAMER: Acrylic on canvas, 1 x 1 FT.
As a kid, in the late 80’s a boy band from the mid ’60, The Monkees, had a resurgence in pop culture. And, randomly, several of us young preteens and barely there teens fell in love with the shadows of some old guys touring the country and releasing biographies. Still, today, if ever a song from their TV show or any of their albums come on, I don’t even realize half the time but immediately I start singing… I will always carry that little gal with braces and a shy smile in my heart. I suppose that explains a little of this piece but, more so, let us that know the song sing along:
Cheer up, Sleepy Jean, oh, what can it mean
To a daydream believer and a homecoming queen?
My hope is that this piece helps the viewer reflect on halcyon days and take a moment to just breathe and engage the child within us all.
