Maybe it's time we send a note to our future selves, live in a little quiet space to sort through things. We Fancy journals are here to fill that need as we travel through journeys or just our heads. Pick from one of Jennifer S. Levine's featured paintings for a cover then choose from either ruled line or blank pages. Each journal is a portable 5 x 7 IN, comes with a high-quality, matte laminated wrap-print cover and 128 sheets of 90gsm quality paper. We'd say that makes it just write!

ABOUT THE PAINTING:

INEFFABLE: Acrylic on canvas, 22 x 28 IN.

Ineffable means incapable of being expressed or described in word, not to be spoken because of its sacredness. This word was given to me a long time ago by someone I will always hold dear. And, yes, a word can be a gift, sometimes more precious than anything that could sparkle. A word in and of itself is just a scrambled set of broken symbols, hanging in the air as a bit of noise in an already noisy space. It’s the meaning behind, the tone that gives it potency. When you get down to it, the words themselves mean nothing. The meaning behind them, the whispering of a lover or confidence of a friend, these are everything. We use words as a way to believe, a way to breakup the monochromatic texture of our daily routines and patterns. It’s is said God created the world with a word. In science, it’s supposed nothingness was disrupted by by a sudden bang. Sound has power. The vibration of the syllables we utter connect to us in ways we will never fully identify. But, in the end, the use of them is sacred and undefinable. The more we try to describe who we are and communicate what we are trying to express, we are right in feeling speechless. In the end, our feels are best understood as the illusive ineffable... but, the lucid joy we have in trying makes all the difference. And, for that, I am grateful.
