With all the construction and seasonal events everywhere else, Colfax has been feeling completely underrepresented. It's rich counterculture, small businesses and history often gets lost. So, honoring the underrepresented, I decided to do a female-focused Halloween event. The theme is showcasing female artists and boutique female businesses, along with the iconic establishments central to the Colfax area. I hope this helps for the businesses suffering the massive construction costs to their sales. PLUS, let's just have some fun!
GALLOWEEN WILL KICKSTART THE CENTRAL DENVER HALLOWEEN EVENTS. This first event will be one afternoon into night. The start time is 3 pm at all 3 venues and runs however late but the Lion's Lair will be open until 2 am. Next year, we're looking to do a block party to kickoff the Denver Halloween season in all its glory and, hopefully, the construction will have moved on down the road by then!

Last, but certainly not least, SHOUT OUT to Bar 404! Located at 4th and Broadway, they have national and local acts roll through most nights of the week which is what makes them stellar but what makes them EXTRA is their dedication to community. When they heard about this event and it was in support for a fellow venue, they immediately asked to sponsor. So, if you're in the central Broadway neighborhood and looking to tip back a glass or checkout a rock'n show, put the car in park because you've found your place! Here's their event calendar.
