Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Nothing can cheer up Grumpy Cat, it seems!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is the day to celebrate the patron saint of the Church of Ireland, St. Patrick. He was a British Bishop that did missionary work in Ireland as early as 432. On this date in 461, he died. The first feasts held in his honor were traced to the 9th century and became part of the Catholic calendar in the early 1600s. Today we honor his memory with 3 leaf shamrocks representative of the holy trinity, the color green and a cultural holiday celebrating Irish heritage. So whether you've got Irish roots or just enjoy good cheer, let's raise a glass to these fine folks.

And, of course, enjoy this Irish blessing:

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
